Two Handmade Bear Rugs Donated to Support Alice Springs Hospital

At Shelby's Creations, I believe handmade gifts are about more than just yarn—they're about creating memories, comfort, and giving back to the community.

Recently, I had the privilege of donating two of my handmade Bear Baby Rugs to the Alice Springs Hospital Drover Volunteer Service. The rugs are being auctioned to help raise funds for an exciting new hospital project, with all proceeds supporting the volunteers' incredible work.

Each rug was lovingly crocheted using soft, baby-safe yarn and features an adorable teddy bear comforter attached to a beautifully textured blanket. Every stitch is made by hand here in Alice Springs with the hope that these keepsakes will become treasured family heirlooms.

Supporting local organisations that care for our community is something that means a great deal to me, and I'm incredibly honoured that my work can contribute in a small way.
